How I Can Help You
I take a relational, systemic approach in my practice to consider the impact of the environment on the child and young person in the centre.

Remote Online Consultations
I can offer 60 minutes online for parents, school staff or young people who feel they have a difficulty they would like to explore further in a safe, contained, psychological space. Being online means this can be more accessible and we use this space to explore strengths, difficulties, psychological underpinnings for why the young person may be struggling in order to help things feel more manageable leaving with you steps at the end to try out.

Parenting support
We can also use this space to consider any parenting struggles and to explore strategies in more depth to leave you with ideas to take forward from the consultation to implement in your everyday life at home.

Prospective parenting support
I have often found in my practice that parents wait to get help when things get really bad and they often voice to me that they wish they had known this before becoming a parent or when they were younger. This is why I am offering spaces to work alongside myself to explore fears and worries around parenting and to work at a preventative level in order to give your child the best start to life. This can run alongside antenatal classes for parent(s) who are passionate about their child's social and emotional development as well as their physical development.

Public speaking
I am available to speak in schools about mental health and learning support as well as in corporate contexts for those who wish to support their employees parenting and wellbeing.

Testimonials

‘Emily is an excellent doctor of Education Psychology. Her knowledge is extensive and she is able to look at each child individually and identifies their specific nuanced needs. She thinks outside of the box and has a very inclusive and open approach. It is incredibly comforting, and such a relief, to be provided with Emily’s Services for children and their carers’

"Dr Emily Crosby has been an incredible support for my child, who was struggling with anxiety and confidence related to school. She worked at my child’s pace, showing great understanding and empathy throughout. Her ability to interact at his level made him feel comfortable and heard."

"You have been so inclusive and so understanding of how as adult learners we too have triggers. I've never encountered this approach before. Not picking on tables / groups / people for an answer. Your approach enabled me to listen and contribute if wanted under no pressure. On top of that you are exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging. Thank you again."
